Much better than batteries!

I had been using my Garmin GPS with batteries for years. I used the rechargeable ones, keeping the cost low. I figured I didn't need the additional cords and hassle of the cigarette lighter power adapter. I purchased one on a whim, and I'm really happy with it. I didn't use the backlighting on the GPS at night before, because of how quickly it would drain the batteries. Now I can use it every minute, and I'm really enjoying my GPS even more. I'm glad I own this product.

Nice to take a load off the batteries when in the car. Charger works fine. Little loose fit at the GPS plug but hasn't fallen out yet.

Hi,
I had previously purchased the Garmen brand car adapter for my GPS Map 60CS which worked just fine until it developed a short necessitating my looking for a replacement. I looked into repurchasing the same adapter, but checked out other people's reviews for this item...and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. It works so well. It has a longer cord too. And best of all - it was a fraction of the price I would have paid for the Garmin adapter. I was a little hesitant at first, but those fears turned out to be unfounded. This adapter performs just as it should. Some of the other reviewers complained of it not staying plugged into the GPS unit - mine stays put perfectly...you just have to make sure you push it in securely and all is well.

THIS ADAPTER WORKS ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY!

I bought this because my GARMIN Cigarette Lighter adapter has NEVER worked well. The Garmin's connection is horrible. I have to push it into my cigarette lighter really hard and kind of twist it and even then, I frequently can't get it to stay connected and loose power causing my GPS to go into the count-down mode to shut off.

It's reasonably priced and works perfectly.
