The 4.3-inch backlit widescreen touchscreen on the nüvi 260W gives you 70% more actual screen area than a 3.5-inch screen. Primarily this translates into a better view of the area through which you are driving. My "Factory Refurbished" 260w arrived looking brand new in the factory box with all of the original accessories. After just a few minutes of reviewing the manual, I was up and running. A few weeks later, I took the unit on a business trip to Miami. I'd pre-programmed the addresses of my company offices and it took me right there with no problems. I especially liked the ease of which I could scan for restaurants closest to my current location!
The unit is VERY easy to use, very clear, and I couldn't be more pleased. |

| If you are looking for an easy to use GPS with street names spoken this is the one for you. The Garmin 260W worked perfectly right out of the box. The one I purchased was refurbished from Digitech Deals, but it looked like brand new. It came packaged in a Garmin box with power cord and mounting bracket. It also had a 12 month warranty from Garmin and user guide. Make sure you register it at the Garmin website so you can get the latest software update and check for the latest maps ( mine had the latest maps already loaded ). You can't go wrong with this one or Digitech Deals. |

| We bought this GPS system because we make a lot of trips to San Francisco, Napa, Sonoma, and the rest of the Bay Area. It has made it nice for when we just want to get away and not worry about how to get back to the interstate. My wife is not that good with maps or directions, so with it, she is able to go to the city and with the voice speaking out the names of the street, it allows her to get where she needs to be easily. |

| I was getting ready for a trip to Washington D.C., and a bit nervous about finding the Hotel I had reservations for. On a trip to the golf course with my buddy, I noticed he had a Nuvi 260W, which he told me had received as a gift, and had used it extensively on a recent trip to Florida. I asked him if I could borrow it for my trip, and he agreed enthusiastically! After about 5 minutes of overview on how to use it, he handed it over. I took a quick trip to a nearby city to be sure I could do everything I needed, and was ready to go the next day. The unit is incredibly easy to use, and made the trip a real joy. Normally my wife is the "navigator", and although she is good after 25 years of trips, she does have trouble on the fly at times, and of course it is always tough to know if a new route will work. I had gone on Google Map to get a routing, which took me the way I had figured would be the best. I was surprised at the route the Nuvi figured out....I never would have gone this way, but it turned out to be a far better route, saved me time, and of course it took me directly to my Hotel. I am now going to buy one of these, and can't wat to see how it routes me on some of my typical trips! The best thing about all of this is my wife loved it! It saved her all the grief of keeping track of the route. She emphatically said "yes" when I asked if I could get one!! |
